Pettinatura Italiana, who was established in 1905, is one of the world’s most respected commission woolcombing concerns. The company operate chiefly in the upper end of the market, and is responsible for making a high proportion of the superfine worsted Tops combed in Italy for customers in the home market and overseas. More than one-third of the tops produced at Pettinatura Italiana’s factory at Vigliano Biellese are finer than 19 microns, and one-third are between 19 and 21 microns.
Wools as fine as 13, 14 or 15 microns are processed when demand requires.
